Our journey to now
O’Brien Transport Group has evolved and grown to the scale it is today by focusing on working with our clients to deliver innovative and best in industry service, facilities, technology and infrastructure and people.
Established in 1948, O’Brien Transport Group is now in the third generation of a successful family transport business. Previously Graeme O’Brien Transport, O’Brien Transport Group has acquired and developed the necessary infrastructure to provide professional, effective local and interstate transport distribution.
In 2002 looking to compliment our linehaul division and offer improved services in general and parcel freight, O’Brien Transport purchased H&R Hanel Transport Division.
In 2005, the acquisition of Matt O’Brien Transport who specialised in regional distribution to the local area resulted in a complete regional distribution network. Albury Blue was formed with this acquisition.
In 2013 O’Brien Transport also acquired Brian Wettern Transport. This expansion has provided O’Brien Transport customers with the complete distribution and warehousing facilities and integrated solutions.
